January 1997Legislative ActivityBill C-47, An Act respecting human reproductive technologies and commercial transactions relating to human reproductionThis bill was introduced in Parliament on June 14, 1996 (Canadian Bioethics Report, July 1996) and received second reading in November. It was then referred to the Standing Committee on Health for detailed study. The Committee has established a Sub-Committee for this purpose. The Sub-Committee invited interested parties to submit five page briefs stating their concerns about the Bill by January 24, 1997.
